The Master is come, and calleth for thee ~ John 11*
“He is calling you today with more insistence and tenderness; it is urgent to unite His divinity to your humanity. He wants to give you a greater share of the treasures
contained in the sacrament of his love.” Fr. Ludy, S.C.
*John 11 recounts the story of Lazarus who Jesus called back to life after 3 days in the tomb. The words, “The Master is come, and calleth for thee.” are spoken by Martha to Mary, the sister of Lazarus. They are rephrased when Jesus calls Lazarus from the tomb “Lazarus, come forth.”
In the Eucharist, the Lord calls each of us to come to Him and receive eternal life.
